Claims $50,000 prize on The Price is Right® scratch-off
It’s not often we get to turn our love of our favorite television show into a fortune. One lucky Aberdeen man did just that after buying five The Price is Right® scratch-offs. One of the instant tickets was a $50,000 winner and the prize was definitely right with the happy Harford County resident.
The big win on the $10 game came as a surprise to the 72-year-old because he isn’t playing Lottery games as often. Physical limitations have forced him to reduce his Lottery activity from daily to a few times a week.
The lucky man found his winning scratch-off at Aberdeen Shell, which is his favorite Lottery retailer. He plays a variety of Lottery games there, including Pick 3/Pick 4 and Bonus Match 5. On this particular day, he was interested in The Price is Right instant ticket.
“Wow, I think I’m blind,” the happy winner recalls saying after he saw so many $10,000 matches on the scratch-off. Once he was certain his instant ticket was a winner, the player added, “It must be my turn.” This is his biggest win to date. He won $5,000 playing Pick 4 a few years ago.
The loyal player, who has only shared his happy news with his wife and son, plans to keep word of his good fortune very quiet. He will use his winnings to make home repairs and to care for his dogs.
His lucky retailer, Aberdeen Shell, is located at 1026 Middleton Road in Aberdeen. The Price is Right instant ticket launched in April and has lots of prizes remaining including seven $100,000 top prizes and nine more unclaimed $50,000 prizes.
