Player claims top prize on THE PRICE IS RIGHT® game
A Montgomery County construction worker with blueprints for a bright future just got closer to completing the first phase of his life’s project. The 24-year-old can achieve his dream of home ownership, thanks to a $100,000 top-prize win on The Price is Right® scratch-off.
The Silver Spring man found his lucky scratch-off at Dong Phuong Market, where he stopped on his way home from work. He purchased the $10 instant ticket and scratched it off in the Silver Spring store. When he reached the second game board on his lucky scratch-off, the winner revealed a $100,000 top prize that left him swimming in a flood of emotions.
“I was thinking, ‘How did this happen?’” recalled the winner. He told Lottery officials that he plans to purchase a house using funds from his prize.
The lucky player isn’t the only one who wins! For selling a $100,000 top-prize scratch-off, Dong Phuong Market located at 8548 Piney Branch Road will receive a $1,000 bonus.
The Price is Right® scratch-off game launched on April 22, 2019. There are still six remaining $100,000 prizes and seven unclaimed $50,000 prizes waiting to be found at Lottery retailers across the state.
