Claims top prize on SKEE-BALL instant ticket
A lucky Maryland Lottery fan from Hyattsville scratched his way to a skee-riffic $30,000 top-prize win on the SKEE-BALL® instant ticket last weekend, making his summer instantly better.
The 60-year-old found his lucky game at Landover Hills Exxon, which is one of his favorite Lottery retailers. While in line at the Prince George’s County business, he decided to buy $20 worth of scratch-offs. The $3 SKEE-BALL game that went on sale statewide on June 24 appealed to his curiosity so the loyal player bought six SKEE-BALL scratch-offs. He then went home to spend the rest of his day off with his wife.
Later that night, the Prince George’s County resident sat down to play his instant tickets. The first three of the six scratch-offs were non-winners. He was starting to feel out of luck until he scratched instant ticket number four. The happy, although mistaken, player thought he won $1,000 and immediately shared his good news with his wife.
The excited winner got a surprise when he returned to Landover Hills Exxon to check and verify his discovery. He had actually won $30,000! The winner plans to use his prize to help people financially and go on a vacation.
Joining in his big win is his lucky Lottery retailer. For selling a top-prize winning instant ticket, Landover Hills Exxon at 6579 Annapolis Road in Landover Hills earns a $300 bonus from the Lottery. Congrats to both winners!
Want to try your luck with this fun scratch-off? The SKEE-BALL game is still packed with unclaimed prizes, including five more $30,000 top prizes and 15 $1,000 prizes.
