Baltimore resident wins big on Bingo Multiplier scratch-off
After 20 years of work as an insulation installer, a Baltimore resident thought the only urge to scratch he’d feel would come from the fiberglass materials he works with daily. But this week, he felt an itch to try the Bingo Multiplier scratch-off ticket, and as a result, the lucky man won a $10,000 prize.
While he was on his way home from work, he purchased two of the $5 Bingo Multiplier scratch-offs at Mandeep Sunoco, located at 1 Carroll Island Road in Baltimore. When he arrived at home, he scratched the tickets before washing up or eating dinner. He won $50 on the first ticket, but on his second ticket, his numbers formed an “X” across one of the Bingo cards, delivering a $10,000 prize.
The shock of the win had the 62-year-old in disbelief and he and family members examined the ticket several times to reassure themselves.
Although the excitement is just beginning to wear off, the hard-working winner said the prize money will help further a family dream of building a vacation home in Mexico. The family was already planning to break ground on the project this year, and the additional funds will help contribute to the home’s completion.
The Bingo Multiplier ticket launched in September, and two of its $50,000 top prizes are still waiting to be found at Lottery retailers across the state. There are also thousands of additional cash prizes ranging from $5 to $10,000.
