Keno Lover Plays Big to Win Big at Camp Springs Store

Alexandria, Va. man picks up $50,180 prize on 6-spot wager

Playing Keno is a favorite pastime of a 61-year-old man from Alexandria, Va. The Keno fan added the Super Bonus multiplier to his 6-spot wager on April 1 and hit for $50,180!

“I play big, so I win big,” said the anonymous player on April 3 while collecting his winnings at Maryland Lottery headquarters in Baltimore. His lucky numbers were 12, 17, 18, 26, 56 and 77; the Super Bonus was 5.

The happy player was all smiles while collecting his prize and already had plans for the proceeds. “I’ll help my mom with some bills. She’s 85. Some will be for my daughters and granddaughters. I’ll pay my rent a little ahead. And, I’ll help some unfortunate people in the community. God loves a cheerful giver!”

The loyal player will also continue to play Keno.

Keno’s my game. I love it,” he said. Allentown Liquors at 6321 Allentown Road in Temple Hills, where he made his big win, is one of a few locations where he enjoys playing and the related social interactions. “I joke around with the staff wherever I play,” he said.

Allentown Liquors wins, too. For selling a winning Keno ticket with a prize of $10,000 or more, the Prince George’s County retailer earns a bonus from the Lottery of $501.80, equal to 1 percent of the prize total.
