Great Big Bingo scratch-off brings Lottery luck to Worchester County Woman
Landscaper Teresa Senft from the small Eastern Shore town of Newark is seeing lots of green these days, but not just the leafy kind found in the form of perennials and annuals. The happy Maryland Lottery scratch-off player just won $100,000!
Teresa and her friends made the long drive to Lottery headquarters in Baltimore to claim the final $100,000 top prize available on the Lottery’s popular Great Big Bingo instant game. She found her Lottery luck at the 7-Eleven at 2611 Philadelphia Avenue in Ocean City.
“I was just shocked when we scratched the ticket, absolutely couldn’t speak,” the 44-year-old told Lottery officials. The first to break the silence was Teresa’s close friend Mike.
“He looked at me,” she told us, “smiled wide and shouted, ‘Right On!’ ” The pair reports that they’ve enjoyed a “very cool week” knowing that the prize will resolve many of their immediate financial concerns.
“We have some breathing room now,” Teresa confided, adding that it is “a huge relief.”
Teresa and Mike’s family and friends will first feel the impact of her winnings. “There are some people around us that have had real rough times recently,” said the Worcester County woman. “It’ll be good to be able to help them.” A new car is also in Teresa’s future.
While Great Big Bingo’s last $100,000 prize is spoken for, the $5 game still sports a $10,000 prize, four $5,000 prizes and eight $1,000 prizes. Players enjoy six cards of fun per instant ticket and can enter non-winning tickets in the My Lottery Rewards player loyalty program.
