‘Life is Good’ Reports Fort Washington Man after Big Lottery Win

Earl Bolden of Fort Washington is overjoyed to claim his second Bonus Match 5 top prize.

Claims $50,000 top prize on Bonus Match 5 game

“I had a feeling, I went and bought a Bonus Match 5 ticket and here I am.” A $50,000 Maryland Lottery win was that simple for Earl Bolden, a field supervisor for a heating and air conditioning company.

The 63-year-old visited Stop 4 All in Fort Washington while headed home after work. He had $20 in his pocket and decided to use $4 for a Bonus Match 5 quick-pick ticket in the Nov. 15 drawing because he had a good feeling about the purchase.

The Fort Washington resident plays Bonus Match 5 and Racetrax two to three times a week. His last big win on Bonus Match 5 came in 1995. “Life is good, I feel joyful and blessed,” Earl said. The lucky Prince George’s County man plans to use his winnings to pay off bills, take a vacation to the Bahamas in January and enjoy a nice holiday celebration with his grandchildren and wife of 33 years.

The lucky retailer also has reason to celebrate. Stop 4 All located at 7713 Allentown Road in Fort Washington will receive a $500 bonus from the Lottery for selling a top-prize winning ticket in the game.
