Lottery Luck Eases College Student’s Financial Challenges

Claims $30,000 top prize in Plinko game

Paying for college just got easier for a Baltimore man who enjoyed a $30,000 top-prize win on a $3 Plinko scratch-off.

The 23-year-old found Lottery luck at the Hess gas station located at 5802 Eastern Avenue in Baltimore, where he usually buys his Maryland Lottery games. The happy winner plays scratch-offs once or twice a month. On the day Lottery luck crossed his path, the college student purchased five instant tickets and won the Plinko game’s top prize.

“I’m very excited, $30,000 is a big deal,” the college junior said. He plans to put his winnings toward his college education.

The Eastern Avenue Hess station will also share in the prize. The city retailer receives a $300 bonus from the Lottery for selling a top-prize winning scratch-off. There are still more than 370,000 prizes remaining in this game, including one more $30,000 top prize.
