Lottery luck just delivered a $50,000 scratch-off win to the same player at the same retailer and on the same scratch-off game! Jorge Matamoros of Silver Spring took home his first $5,000 prize about a month ago and found a $50,000 top-prize winning instant ticket this time.

The 39-year-old, who works in construction, unearthed both big wins on the 20x The Cash game. He found his lucky games at 29 Convenience Mart in Silver Spring.

“This still feels like such a dream to me,” he said. “I certainly didn’t think there would be any more big winners at this store so it totally took me by surprise.”

The Montgomery County resident selected the $5 game to enjoy on his day off. “I like to buy scratch-off tickets that are new and that I think are lucky,” he said.

After paying down some of his bills, the happy winner said he would like to invest his prize into a new business venture. “I’d like to start real estate business refurbishing and selling homes,” he said. “I’ve learned a lot about homes in the business I’m in so it would be great to make a living doing what I love to do, fixing up homes.”

The lucky retailer is also a winner. For selling the top-prize scratch-off in the $5 game, 29 Convenience Mart located at 10755 Colesville Road will receive a $500 bonus from the Lottery.

The 20x the Cash instant ticket still has plenty of winning scratch-offs awaiting discovery. Players can look for the four $50,000 top prizes, seven $5,000 prizes and thousands of other prizes ranging from $5 to $1,000.
