Lottery Millionaires Take Home Second Big Win

Jayme Wood - Bonus Match 5

Sudlersville Couple Claims $50,000 Bonus Match 5 Prize

Jayme Wood is no stranger to winning the Maryland Lottery. In August 2006, she and her husband, Tom, claimed a $1.05 million Multi-Match jackpot. Today, the mother-of-five was back at Lottery Headquarter with Tom in tow to pick up her latest windfall.

Jayme sent her husband to the store on Monday evening to pick up Bonus Match 5 tickets never expecting to strike it rich again. “He bought the ticket around six, and then we checked the Lottery website around 9:30 pm,” said the 32-year-old stay-at-home mom.

“We couldn’t believe our eyes,” chimed in Tom, describing when they realized their numbers matched. “The first thing we did was yell and scream. Then, we called family members to tell them the news.”

The Queen Anne’s County couple chose the Quick Pick option to select their numbers, the same decision which led to their prior jackpot win. “We are very thankful for our luck. With four children under the age of five, it will definitely go to good use,” said Jayme.

The lucky couple said that they will use some of their winnings to go on their first full-family vacation.  Although they haven’t decided on a destination, Jayme said, “Wherever it is, it will be nice and warm.”  The remainder of the money will be put into savings for their children’s future. The winning ticket was purchased at the Rhodes Store, located at 620 Main St. in Church Hill.
