Future Husband and Wife Claim Top Prize on Hearts are Wild Instant Ticket
A romantic New Carrollton couple who followed their heart when selecting a Maryland Lottery scratch-off hit it big with their Hearts are Wild Tripler instant ticket. The future husband and wife claimed the ticket’s top prize of $30,000 at Lottery headquarters in Baltimore.
The $3 scratch-off attracted the Prince George’s County residents because they are in love.
“You see, we’re trying to get married soon so we have romance on the brain,” said the 46-year-old man. “We also like this ticket because we’ve actually won smaller prizes on it, too. Now we can start planning our spring wedding.”
In addition to spending money on their future, the lovebirds plan to pay off some bills and set aside funds for their teenage son’s college education. They found their good fortune close to home in Prince George’s County at Liquor City at 9115 Annapolis Road in Lanham. There are four $30,000 top-tier prizes and 10 $1,000 second-tier prizes remaining on this ticket.
