Baltimore woman finds Lottery luck on $250,000 High Rollers Club ticket
A lucky Baltimore resident who enjoys playing Maryland Lottery scratch-offs was all smiles as she was joined by her son to claim a $10,000 prize on the $250,000 High Rollers Club ticket.
She purchased the winning scratch-off at the Mars grocery located at 7200 Holabird Avenue in Baltimore. After returning home with the $10 ticket, she scratched it off and found the $10,000 prize hiding in the third of its five columns of numbers.
“I saw it right away,” she said.
But just to be sure, she took the instant ticket to her son to have him confirm her win. Instead, he decided to have a little fun at her expense.
“I said, ‘No, it ain’t no good,’ ” he said, smiling. “I teased her a little, but she knew it was a winner.”
The happy player said she enjoys scratch-offs because they offer an instant chance to win. Her largest prize before this win was $100. She said she doesn’t have any special plans for spending her prize.
The $250,000 High Rollers Club ticket launched in February and one of its $250,000 top prizes is still waiting to be found. There are also four more $10,000 prizes and thousands of other prizes ranging from $10 to $1,000.
