A Frederick County woman told Lottery officials that the week leading up to her 64th birthday seemed to be wrought with problems. Her washer and dryer stopped working, and her refrigerator would not stay cool. To make matters worse, she got a flat tire yesterday, which was her actual birthday. After a week of chaos, the retired corrections worker decided to treat herself to a Lucky Casino scratch-off ticket. Her bad week got a whole lot better when she scratched her way to the $100,000 top prize.
“When I get frustrated, I tend to play,” she said. “I just started screaming all over the place when I realized I had won.”
The lucky winner, who also volunteers with the elderly, said she now can afford to purchase some of the appliances that went up last week. She also wants to get her car painted. The winning ticket was purchased at the Express Convenience Store, located at 430-A E. Patrick Street in Frederick.
Lucky Casino is a $10 scratch-off that has 3 different looks: Lucky Spin includes blue and yellow roulette imagery; Lucky Roll is green and purple with dice imagery; and Lucky Cards is predominantly red and mimics the look of a deck of playing cards. All three Lucky Casino tickets can be found in the same pack of tickets and although they may look different, they are designed with the same fun number match play style.
