Prince George’s County man claims top prize on $10 game

A bright pink Maryland Lottery scratch-off named Lady Luck intrigued a loyal Hyattsville player enough that he bought one while visiting his local 7-Eleven. Finding the game’s first $100,000 top prize was a welcome reward for his curiosity!

The happy father dubbed himself “Lucky Daddy” when he and his family came to Maryland Lottery headquarters in Baltimore to claim his big win.

“This truly is a blessing,” he said. “I got my son and now I won big, which will help with his college fund.” The proud papa called his wife after his lucky win to share his news. She was even more elated than he was, the winner said.

“This will be put to good use, a good foundation for our son’s future,” said the happy wife. “We will take a family vacation with our 1-year-old and put the rest away for his future.”

The retailer, 7-Eleven #37056 located at 900 Chillum Road in Hyattsville, is a winner too. For selling the top-prize winning ticket, the Prince George’s County store earned a $1,000 bonus from the Lottery. There are still thousands of prizes available on the Lady Luck game, including eight unclaimed $100,000 prizes and 16 unclaimed $10,000 prizes.
