Baltimore man claims $30,000 prize on Rack Up the Cash scratch-off
Lady Luck made a special Valentine’s Day delivery to a Baltimore father of two that he won’t soon forget – a $30,000 win on a Rack up the Cash scratch-off!
The 30-year-old was buying a soda on Valentine’s Day morning at Shop Express in Brooklyn when he decided to add several scratch-offs to his purchase. The loyal player randomly selected three scratch tickets: a $2 ticket, a $3 Money Vault ticket and the lucky Rack up the Cash ticket.
He waited until he got home to scratch his tickets and reveal his good fortune.
“I thought it was fake at first, but I kept it cool,” the lucky winner said. He knew he couldn’t be too careful with the ticket so he stashed it in his car, where he knew it would be safe, until he could claim his win at Lottery headquarters. His largest instant ticket win to date was $100 so a prize this large feels surreal. “It still hasn’t hit me yet,” he said.
The father of two ten-year-olds, our winner has worked for five years installing cubicles in office spaces. He plans to use his prize for a down payment on a house and will keep his win a secret until the money is spent!
There are still two $30,000 top prizes remaining on the Rack up the Cash game. Try your luck! Shop Express, which is located at 714 Church St in Brooklyn, is also a winner and will receive a $300 bonus from the Lottery for selling a top-prize ticket.
