Wife finds winning Super Crossword game
Thanks to a Maryland Lottery scratch-off, a Baltimore couple is $10,000 richer just in time to help them celebrate 20 years of blissful marriage.
Merlisha Henderson and her husband play scratch-offs on a regular basis. On the day she found her lucky instant ticket, the 39-year-old visited Royal Farms #173 located at 9043 Liberty Road in Randallstown.
“My husband told me to buy the Super Crossword ticket,” said the happy woman. “We stop along our travels to buy various tickets at various locations. This takes the cake, as we have never won like this before.”
After scratching off the $10 game, Merlisha was unsure how much she had won. The winner looked at her ticket for over an hour before deciding her prize probably was $10,000. To be certain, she scanned the instant ticket using the Maryland Lottery app. The lucky couple plans to celebrate their 20th anniversary with a short vacation and the prize gives the pair even more to celebrate.
