Lucky tickets sold in Landover and Upper Marlboro
Two Prince George’s County sisters-in-law have more than just family in common – they are Bonus Match 5 superstars!
The happy women arrived at Maryland Lottery headquarters together, with family members in tow, to claim the game’s $50,000 top prize from the April 25 and May 8 drawings.
The lucky 59-year-old winner from Landover bought her lucky ticket for the April 25 drawing at Kentland Shell located at 7777 Landover Road in Landover. She matched the winning numbers of 6, 14, 21, 25, 32 and Bonus Ball 1.
“I just feel so blessed that we both won like this,” said the Landover winner. “We’re still shocked that we both won back to back. This is definitely a blessing for our family.”
The 54-year-old sister-in-law found her Lottery luck at Meadow’s Market & Restaurant at 9400 Marlboro Pike in Upper Marlboro. The Upper Marlboro resident guessed all of the Bonus Match 5 numbers correctly for May 8 drawing: 10, 16, 21, 27, 34 and Bonus Ball 11.
The loyal Bonus Match 5 players plan to spend some of their prizes on wedding anniversary celebrations to mark 30-plus years of happiness. One of the winners said she and her husband might also go to Las Vegas to celebrate. Both winners plan to pay bills with their prizes and put some of the money into savings.
