Finds a tasty prize at Lutherville’s Galleria Deli
A private shipping company employee at the Port of Baltimore reports that he often spends his lunch hour at eateries that sell Keno, which is his favorite Maryland Lottery game. One lucky day this summer, his Keno ship came in carrying a $10,000 prize that dwarfed all of the Cockeysville man’s previous lunchtime wins!
The married father of two and grandfather of three turned up at Lottery headquarters on Nov. 13 to claim his prize from a lucky June 21 Keno drawing. He was dining that day at Galleria Deli in Lutherville when he decided to play one of his regular sets of lucky numbers. His 7-spot ticket carried the number 59, 60, 69, 70, 78, 79 and 80, and he added the bonus option to his five-draw ticket. The rest is history!
The 60-something winner has only shared news of his fabulous Keno prize with his wife and plans to keep mum about his Lottery luck. Although still deciding how to enjoy the prize, the happy winner said a trip to Florida is under consideration to visit a relative and escape from the cold winds of winter.
His lucky Keno retailer also benefits from his winning bet. For selling a winning Keno ticket valued at $10,000 or more, Galleria Deli located at 1419 York Road earns a $100 bonus from the Lottery – equal to 1 percent of the prize.
