His “Magic Touch” turned special numbers into a $50,000 Bonus Match 5 prize.
Player claims top prize in Bonus Match 5 drawing
A car-detailing company owner who dubbed himself “Magic Touch” cleaned up at the Lottery, too, with a $50,000 top-prize win in the May 15 Bonus Match 5 drawing.
The lucky Prince George’s County resident matched all five numbers in the drawing on a ticket bought at Wegmans in Lanham.
“I always play the birthday dates of the people who are special to me,” said the District Heights man. “I have been playing these numbers for the past month and they finally came up. Winning this big is special to me and so are the people who inspired me to use their birthdates as my lucky numbers.”
Mr. “Magic Touch” plans to pay off his car loan with his winnings and expand his newly launched car-detailing company. “Winning this jackpot at this time will help me to get my business off the ground,” said the 53-year-old.
The retailer is also a winner. Wegmans #40 located at 9001 McHugh Drive in Prince George’s County will receive a bonus of $500 for selling the lucky top-prize ticket in the daily game.
