Maintenance Man Cleans Up with $50,000 Scratch-off Win

Claims top prize on Holiday Cash Times 10 instant ticket

Holiday_Cash_Times_10_ITVM_2016A Howard County maintenance man has a new reason to whistle while he works! The 57-year-old just cleaned up with a $50,000 top-prize win on the Holiday Cash Times 10 scratch-off.

The Columbia resident works in maintenance for a Baltimore County property management company, performing repairs and upkeep for a group of apartments. He told Lottery officials that prior to this big win, he hadn’t had much luck with the 2016 holiday scratch-offs. When he scratched off his latest purchase of the $5 game and won the top prize, he immediately shared the news with his scratch-off playing son-in-law. The happy winner plans to use the extra funds to repair his home’s leaking roof and perhaps purchase a new vehicle.

He found his lucky ticket at Normandy Sunoco located at 8411 Baltimore National Pike in Ellicott City. The Howard County retailer will celebrate the win as well, earning a $500 bonus from the Lottery for selling the top-prize ticket in the game.

Still feeling festive? The Holiday Cash Times 10 game still has plenty of unclaimed prizes, including two more $50,000 top prizes, three $5,000 prizes and thousands of others ranging from $5 to $1,000.
