Yells “BINGO!” for $30,000 win on Blackout Bingo scratch-off
The lucky winner told Lottery officials that she loves playing the bingo-themed scratch-off games due to her inability to get out to bingo halls. “I’m disabled,” she said, “so this allows me to play bingo right in my living room.”
The win fulfills the 52-year-old woman’s hope that her family’s Lottery luck was contagious. Her father won $20,000 playing Pick 4 and, a few years ago, her brother brought home a $30,000 scratch-off prize. She has finally joined their ranks as a Lottery winner and can tell her story of how a small bingo scratch-off win led to her bingo bonanza.
“I had won $5 dollars playing a different bingo scratch-off,” she said. The Lottery currently has five bingo scratch-offs to play. “I sent my friend to purchase more scratch-offs with my winnings but all they had was the $2 Blackout Bingo scratch-offs. So, he purchased two for me. You can imagine my total shock when I started scratching the second ticket and realized I had won something big!”
Her good fortune comes at a great time for the woman and her family. “We’ve been going through a lot of financial difficulties. I can now help the people I love, especially my son.” She would also like to enjoy a weekend getaway.
Her winning Blackout Bingo scratch-off came from Number One North at 3201 Main St. in Manchester.
