Marriottsville Resident’s Lucky Lottery Streak Continues

Loyal player wins second $10,000 prize

196-10x-Cash-ITVM_P1-blueA Marriottsville resident’s recent run of good luck continued in a big way on May 28, as she won a $10,000 top prize in the Maryland Lottery’s 10x Cash scratch-off game.

The lucky winner bought the ticket that afternoon at the Quick Stop Food Mart located at 7503 Village Road in Sykesville. She scratched it in her car, quickly realized she was a winner, and called a friend to join her for a trip to Lottery headquarters in Baltimore to claim the prize.

The 78-year-old loyal Lottery player and her friend have plans to go on a Caribbean cruise in July.

“This will help!” she said. “We’re going to have a good time!”

The 10x Cash prize follows two $500 scratch-off wins that the Howard County resident claimed earlier this month. But it’s not her first big win. She claimed another $10,000 scratch-off prize three years ago. The winner said she also plays Multi-Match and Bonus Match 5 and hopes her streak of good luck continues.

There are still many prizes waiting to be won in the 10x Cash game, which launched on March 23. There are 56 top prizes of $10,000 that have not yet been claimed, along with 32 $1,000 prizes.
