A Powerball player won $1 million on a ticket purchased for the Feb. 20 drawing at Dual Highway BP in Hagerstown. The ticket matched the first five winning numbers, — 27, 49, 50, 51 and 52 — but missed out on winning the jackpot because it did not match the Power Ball number, which was 2. The winner has 182 days from the drawing date to claim the prize at Lottery headquarters in Baltimore.
Meanwhile, the day before that Powerball drawing a lucky construction worker purchased a Mega Millions ticket in Rockville that turned out to be a $1 million winner. The lucky winner dubbed himself the “Rockville Roller” as he claimed his prize on Feb. 27.
Both the Mega Millions and Powerball jackpots are still rolling. The jackpot for the March 1 Mega Millions drawing is an estimated annuity value of $267 million, with an estimated cash value of $161.7 million.
The next Powerball drawing on March 2 features an estimated annuity jackpot of $348 million, with an estimated cash value is $211.9 million.
