Wins top prize on Your Fortune scratch-off
It was a real feel-good moment for Rebecca Travis as she landed her biggest Lottery scratch-off win to date. The Your Fortune ticket has been a lucky one for the Frederick County woman, and now she can say that she really has found her fortune — to the tune of $100,000.
The 53-year-old visited the A-1 Choice store and bought three tickets. She scratched them while still in the store. It took a few seconds for her to realize she had a big winner.
“I went numb,” the Frederick County Public Schools employee told Lottery officials.
Rebecca has only shared the news with a few people, including a good friend who accompanied her to claim the prize and her husband of 29 years. The excited winner does not yet have any plans for her winnings.
The lucky store A-1 Choice, located at 300 South Jefferson Street in Frederick, will receive a $1,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket. The Your Fortune scratch-off game still has six top-prizes and several smaller-prizes remaining.
