Bowie woman claims top prize on Rainbow Blackout Bingo scratch-off

Rainbow Blackout BingoA grocery store employee’s decision to buy the $2 Maryland Lottery scratch-off eyed by her daughter certainly gives her food for thought. The loyal Lottery player is $30,000 richer because she did purchase that Rainbow Blackout Bingo instant ticket!

A Bowie mom, our happy winner had $9 to spend on Lottery games that day. She treated her 18-year-old to two $1 scratch-offs rather than the more complicated $2 Rainbow Blackout Bingo scratch-off. Then, she reconsidered her own $7 selection of scratch-offs and included the coveted game in her instant ticket assortment.

Rather than scratch off her tickets right there at the Seat Pleasant retailer, the 53-year-old headed home. She enlisted the help of her mother with the Rainbow Blackout Bingo instant ticket’s four bingo cards. After the Prince George’s County resident jotted down her bingo numbers on a separate sheet of paper, her mom read the bingo caller’s numbers. Before they knew it, they had blackout bingo on one card and the $30,000 win!

The mother of two, who plays scratch-offs and the Lottery’s Racetrax game twice a week, said this is her largest win to date. She has no extravagant plans for her windfall and will keep working and saving money.

The Addison Road Shell is located at 6308 Central Avenue in Prince George’s County. For selling the $30,000 winning ticket, the retailer will receive a $300 bonus from the Lottery. Eight $30,000 top prizes remain on this game.
