Multi-Match Drawing Delivers $520,000 Jackpot

May 3 drawing produces game’s third jackpot in 2021

The Monday, May 3 Multi-Match drawing was a lucky one for one Maryland Lottery player, who won a $520,000 jackpot.

The winner, who is the third player to hit a Multi-Match jackpot in 2021, can choose between the estimated annuity of $520,000 and an estimated $270,000 cash option (before taxes). The Anne Arundel County resident matched all six of the winning numbers on a single line: 11, 17, 18, 21, 31 and 34.

Our two other Multi-Match jackpot wins of 2021 occurred in February and April. A Baltimore County woman won a $2.75 million jackpot on Feb. 4 on a ticket sold by 7-Eleven #32287 in Owings Mills. A Rockville resident won a $1.4 million jackpot hit on April 22. The player claimed the prize last week, taking the $1.1 million cash option on the ticket sold at Giant #319 in Rockville.

The May 3 jackpot winner will have 182 days to claim the prize at Lottery headquarters located at 1800 Washington Blvd. in Baltimore.

The top three Multi-Match jackpot wins in the history of the game are $4.8 million on Sept. 19, 2009, $4.45 million on March 18, 2010 and $3.8 million on Dec. 16, 2010.

Multi-Match is a $2 game, and players receive three lines of six numbers ranging from 1 to 43. The Lottery draws six winning numbers from that range every Monday and Thursday night. Players match between three and five numbers on any one line to win up to $1,000. Match between five and 18 numbers total on all three lines combined to win up to $2,000 more. To win the jackpot, players match all six numbers on any one line. The overall chances of winning are 1 in 8.5.
