Cinema Cash - winner photoThe spotlight was on Cesar Gonzaga when he arrived at Lottery Headquarters with his friend in tow, to claim his Cinema Cash prize. The 38-year-old won $30,000 on the movie-themed scratch-off.

Cesar went to the Shell gas station on Sunday to get some gas and decided to buy a Cinema Cash ticket.  He then stopped to see a friend which is where he played his newly purchased scratch-off.  The self-employed businessman was not sure if it was a winner, so he showed the ticket to his friend. Upon discovering that he was $30,000 richer, Cesar said, “I jumped up. We were both excited! I won $1,000 two years ago, but, never thought I would win this much.”

The father-of-two said that he will ask his wife what she wants to do with the prize money. He also intends to take the family to Disney World when the weather warms up and he may use some his windfall for a down payment on a car

The winning ticket was purchased at Shell Food Mart, located at 7430 Riggs Rd. in Adelphi.  Cinema Cash, which launched in November, still has three cash top prizes remaining and available second-chance prizes include a trip to an MGM movie premiere, home theatre package or movie tickets for a year.
