Wins a $100K Prize Playing Diamond Mine Scratch-off
A 53-year-old woman from New York won a $100,000 Diamond Mine scratch-off top prize. The lucky lady, who usually plays scratch-offs in New York, told Lottery officials that she decided to purchase a few tickets yesterday when she arrived in Baltimore to see her daughter and grand kids.
“It was the first ticket I scratched, and when I saw the amount I won, I just started screaming,”she said. “This money definitely comes at a time when I really need it.”
The excited winner, who is a dietary aide, but currently disabled, said she can now pay a few bills that have fallen behind. “I had been praying for a financial blessing and now I have one. I think I’ll be visiting Maryland more often.” The winning ticket was purchased at the 7-11 on Reisterstown Road in Baltimore.
