Number “51” Proves Lucky for Silver Spring Woman

Takes home $100,000 top prize on The Big $10 Ticket

A Montgomery County mother of two is topping off her bank account with a sweet sum after scratching her way to a $100,000 top prize on The Big $10 Ticket scratch-off .

The 41-year-old scratched the ticket while still in Lottery retailer Seminary Beer, Wine & Deli in Silver Spring. She didn’t realize she had a winning ticket until she matched the very last number on the scratch-off, which was a “51.” The lucky Silver Spring woman discovered her top-prize win when she revealed the $100,000 under the number.

The happy winner, who is not sure yet what she will do with her prize, is a big fan of scratch-offs and the Lottery’s 5 Card Cash game. Prior to this win, the largest Lottery prize she had found was $1,000.

For selling the top-prize winning ticket in the $10 game, Seminary Beer, Wine & Deli at 9458 Georgia Ave. will receive a $1,000 bonus. The Big $10 Ticket still has many chances to win big prizes. Players can seek two more $100,000 top prizes along with 16 unclaimed $10,000 prizes and thousands of others ranging from $10 to $1,000.
