One Scratch-off Yields $100,000 Win for Cockeysville Woman

Lucky lady plays The Money Game instant ticket

A 47-year-old instant ticket fan is still in shock after scratching her way to a $100,000 top prize on The Money Game game.

The housekeeping professional left work Tuesday evening and decided to stop at a 7-Eleven in Cockeysville to pick up a scratch-off game. The very lucky Cockeysville resident chose just one of The Money Game scratch-offs and played the $10 game later at home.

“I knew right away it was a winner,” said the 47-year-old. “I just couldn’t believe it.”

The mother of three with a grandbaby on the way shared the news with her family and got little sleep that night. Her son-in-law, who accompanied her to Lottery headquarters in Baltimore to claim the prize, said he hid the instant ticket for her in a pillowcase.

When asked by Lottery officials what she might do with a $100,000 windfall, the happy player just smiled and said she has no immediate plans for the money. “I just need it to sink in a bit,” she said.

The Money Game instant ticket is still packed with big prizes. There are six $100,000 top prizes, 27 $10,000 prizes and hundreds of thousands of prizes from $10 to $1,000 remaining on the scratch-off game.

For selling a top-prize winning $100,000 instant ticket, 7-Eleven #27098 wins, too! The Baltimore County retailer located at 10045 York Road in Cockeysville will receive a $1,000 bonus from the Lottery.
