10-spot ticket with Super Bonus wins $16,024
A 62-year-old Owings Mills resident and his wife enjoy going out to dinner and playing Keno at Jilly’s restaurant in Pikesville. It’s something they do regularly, but the couple had an unusual experience on Jan. 7, when he matched nine of his 10 numbers and took home a $16,024 prize.
“When the game was over, I told the bartender that I matched eight numbers,” said the winner. “He scanned the ticket on the Lottery’s really cool phone app and told me that I had actually matched nine numbers, which was a $16,000 prize.”
The Owings Mills man had added the Super Bonus multiplier to his $15, five-draw ticket. The game that delivered his big win carried a 4X Super Bonus multiplier. Matching nine numbers on a 10-spot ticket pays $4,000, but with the Super Bonus, his win quadrupled to $16,000. He won an additional $24 from the other four draws on his ticket.
With his prize, the winner and his wife plan on having some fun, which will include playing some more Keno.
Jilly’s, located at 1012 Reisterstown Road in Pikesville, is also a winner. For selling a winning Keno ticket worth $10,000 or more, the lucky retailer will receive a $160.24 bonus from the Lottery – equal to 1 percent of the prize value.
