Oxon Hill Resident Finds $10,000 Monopoly Scratch-off Prize

Lucky 7-Eleven in Silver Spring sells the winning instant ticket

252-Monopoly-ITVMA Prince George’s County woman admits that she questioned her vision when a Monopoly scratch-off, at first glance, appeared to give her a $10,000 prize.

“I said, ‘Where’s my glasses?’” recalls the Oxon Hill player. Her husband gave her money to play Maryland Lottery scratch-offs and she is sure glad she picked the $20 Monopoly game. She visited the 7-Eleven store at 11303 Lockwood Drive in Silver Spring to find her lucky ticket. The 47-year-old plans to fix up her home with the prize.

The $20 Monopoly scratch-off launched in February and still has one $1 million top prize awaiting discovery at a Lottery retailer. There are two more unclaimed $50,000 prizes and five more $10,000 prizes. The $20 game is part of a family of Monopoly scratch-off games. There are also $1, $2, $5 and $10 Monopoly scratch-off options available.
