Pair of $100,000 Crossword Top Prizes Have Winners Searching for Words

Players from Montgomery, Frederick counties separately scratch off $100,000 prizes

Across and down, players are searching all over the state for the final prizes in the Maryland Lottery’s $100,000 Crossword 4th Edition scratch-off. Two recent winners, one from Wheaton and another from Myersville, each claimed a $100,000 prize within weeks of each other and left just four $100,000 top prizes remaining in the popular game.

The extended-play scratch-off encourages Lottery players to spend time figuring out if they won by deciphering the crossword style game. Eagle-eyed players must scratch off and match a series of letters on the $10 game, hoping to spell out 10 words on a randomly printed crossword puzzle on the instant tickets. Both winners managed the feat, winning a $100,000 top prize for their luck and effort!

The Wheaton winner bought his instant ticket at New Hampshire Avenue Liquors located at 6501 New Hampshire Avenue in Takoma Park. The Myersville winner’s ticket was sold by 7-Eleven #11575 located at 18120 Georgia Avenue in Olney. For selling a scratch-off with a top prize over $100,000, both retailers will earn a $1,000 retailer bonus.

The $100,000 Crossword 4th Edition scratch-off launched in August 2020. An earlier version, the $100,000 Crossword 3rd Edition, launched in August 2019 and has just a single $100,000 top prize remaining.
