Pasadena Man Finds Jaw-dropping $50,000 Lottery Prize

Convenient store stop leads to lucky scratch-off

One quick convenient store stop can make your jaw drop if you’re the 32-year-old Maryland Lottery player who recently bought a 100X The Cash scratch-off.

The Pasadena resident bought the $20 instant ticket during a visit to 7-Eleven #11533 located at 7753 Baltimore Annapolis Boulevard in Glen Burnie. He claimed his $50,000 prize last week at Lottery headquarters in Baltimore.

The 100X The Cash game, which carries a top prize of $1 million, offers players 30 chances to win. You can match your numbers with one of the winning numbers to claim the prizes shown. Other options are to win with one or two bonus areas or reveal a 100X symbol to multiply the prize shown beneath that symbol. Our Anne Arundel County winner revealed a 100X symbol with $500 shown below, netting him the $50,000 prize.

The 100X The Cash game went on sale in November 2020. There are still five $1 million top prizes remaining, six $50,000 prizes remaining, eight unclaimed $10,000 prizes and more than 860,000 other prizes ranging from $20 to $5,000. This scratch-off launched earlier than its family of X Multiplier games, which joined the fun on Jan. 18. The five games offer “Xtra Xciting” ways to win instant prizes of up to $1 million and second-chance prizes of up to $50,000. Two second-chance drawings remain on March 31 and April 28.
