Wins $30,000 Top Prize on Scratch-Off
Joseph Walters purchased a few scratch-offs last Thursday and put them aside for a few days. While at his daughter and son-in-law’s house on Sunday, he decided to scratch the tickets. He still hadn’t won anything when he got to the fourth and final “ring” on the ticket. That’s when everything changed. The 59-year-old matched all 10 rings and revealed the $30,000 prize.
“We checked the ticket over and over again,” said the Constellation Energy Network Operations Center specialist. “My wife is still waiting for me to call her to let her know that the Lottery confirmed it really was a $30,000 winner.”
This isn’t Joseph’s first win, but it’s definitely the largest. “The first week Multi-Match started, I won $1,020,” he said. “This time, I can help out my family.” Joseph, who was accompanied to Lottery Headquarters by his son-in-law, doesn’t have many plans for his winnings, except for helping out some family members.
The winning ticket was purchased at Royal Farm #050, located at 2704 Washington Blvd. in Baltimore.
