Pasadena Woman Enjoys Third Big Lottery Win

Scratches $10,000 prize on Diamond 7s ticket

239-Diamond-7s-ITVMA Pasadena resident has won not one, not two, but three big Lottery prizes over the past 10 years. The latest was a $10,000 Diamond 7s scratch-off prize.

The 63-year-old purchased the $10 ticket when she stopped for gas at Lake Shore Exxon, located at 4459 Mountain Road in Pasadena. She scratched the ticket while pumping her gas and noticed there were 10 winning matches, but thought they were for $100 each.

“I didn’t have my glasses on, and from what I could see I thought they were $100 prizes,” said the grandmother of three. “I put my glasses on and still only thought there were five matches, which would have been $5,000. Then, I took the ticket back in the store and realized it was a $10,000 winner!”

Though her past wins were a bit larger, this lucky lady was just as thrilled this time around. In fact, she has already decided how to spend her prize.

“I’m going to start my Christmas shopping really early this year and get in on all the good sales,” she said. “I’m really lucky. The Maryland Lottery has been really good to me.”

The Diamond 7s ticket launched in November and still has three $100,000 top prizes and six more $10,000 prizes remaining.
