Pair claims top prize on a Twisted Bingo scratch-off
A Prince Frederick couple is certainly happy that Maryland Lottery players nearly emptied a Lottery scratch-off vending machine at a Wawa at Charlotte Hall. The Twisted Bingo scratch-off those players left behind held a lot of Lottery luck – $150,000 worth!
The Calvert County woman who made the perfect choice and bought the instant ticket remembers the day well. She arrived at the popular Lottery retailer on a scratch-off mission. She’d felt odd for several days, she said, and then a friend talked to her about the power of a woman’s intuition and she dreamed about a Lottery win.
“I dreamed that I had won massively big and I told him (her boyfriend) when I woke up that I need to get a Lottery ticket,” she said.
The home care provider carefully looked over her choices at the Lottery retailer, hoping her dream would come true. “Almost all of them were sold out so I got the ones left that I liked,” she said. “He likes bingo so I got that for him.”
The 32-year-old mom bought six scratch-offs in all and headed home so the couple could scratch the tickets together. The $10 Twisted Bingo instant ticket he scratched was a $150,000 top-prize winner!
The loyal Lottery scratch-off players stayed up all night to celebrate and he spent the weekend guarding the ticket. She and the 46-year-old are splitting the prize and may buy new cars and a house with their lucky windfall.
For selling the top-prize ticket, the Wawa #588-E at 30320 Three Notch Road in Charlotte Hall will receive a $1,000 bonus from the Lottery. One $150,000 top prize and two $10,000 second-tier prizes remain on the ticket.
