Hyattsville man finds big win with Superfecta bet
A lucky Prince George’s County resident picked the perfect combination of Racetrax horses on June 2, winning $29,322!
The 53-year-old Hyattsville man stopped by Hyattsville Convenience Store last weekend to try his luck with a Superfecta bet, picking the No. 8, 12, 3 and 4 horses to finish the race in that exact order. He wagered $1 per race for 10 races and received a $1 discount on the price of his ticket from the current $6 for $5 promotion under way through June 10. The promotion gives Racetrax players a $1 discount on every $6 purchase.
The computer-animated horse racing game delivered an 8-12-3-4 finish on the last of the 10 races the lucky man had on his ticket. The odds of winning with that combination of horses are 1 in 44,029!
The Prince George’s County retailer also benefits from the winner’s perfect bet. For selling a winning Racetrax ticket worth at least $10,000, Hyattsville Convenience at 2230 University Boulevard East in Hyattsville earns a $293.22 bonus from the Lottery. The bonus is equal to 1 percent of the prize value.
