Pick 3 Players Collect $1.7 Million on Tax Day

Pick 3Most people do not look forward to April 15th.  But this year’s tax day proved different for over 7,000 happy Maryland Lottery Pick 3 players.  That’s because last night’s Pick 3, 8-8-8, paid more than $1.7 million to players.  It was the second time in three weeks that Maryland Lottery numbers players won big.  On March 25th, 1-2-1-2 paid more than $7 million to Pick 4 players.

Last night’s drawing took in $467,437 in total sales and the payout was 373 percent or more than $1.7 million.  Triple and quadruple numbers are always popular with Lottery players.  Those who placed a $1 bet took home $500 and winners with a $.50 wager received $250 each.  The last time 8-8-8 was drawn in Maryland was on June 4, 2008.

The Maryland Lottery’s Pick 3 and Pick 4 drawings are held twice daily — midday and evening, seven days-a-week.
