Takes home $10,000 Jolly Reindeer Winnings prize
Some lucky folks will enjoy a brighter holiday this year, thanks to a 31-year-old Pikesville man who plans to spread the joy of his $10,000 win on a Maryland Lottery Jolly Reindeer Winnings scratch-off.
The Department of Defense employee was in his car waiting for his cousin to come out of a Baltimore-area Giant store when impatience spurred him to action. He entered the store and, to kill time, purchased one Jolly Reindeer Winnings scratch-off ticket and returned to his car. Much to his surprise, his $2 ticket was a $10,000 top-prize winner! The happy Baltimore County resident immediately signed the back of the ticket and hid it in his wallet until he could claim his prize at Lottery headquarters.
When asked what he was going to do with his newfound win, the selfless winner said that he plans to purchase some toys to give to less-fortunate children.
“There are so many people who need this more than I do,” he told Lottery officials. “I’m glad to be able to help.” In addition, he plans to buy his godchildren some gifts, work on his truck and donate to his alma mater.
Our winner found his lucky ticket at Giant #352 located at 3602 Milford Mill Road in Baltimore. Jolly Reindeer Winnings has two $10,000 top-prizes remaining and three $5,000 second-tier prizes.
