Player Crosses State Lines to Land $50,000 Maryland Lottery Souvenir

North Carolina man wins with 100X The Cash scratch-off game

An anonymous out-of-state player found a great souvenir from his stop in Oxon Hill — a $50,000 prize in the 100X The Cash game.

After purchasing his $20 instant ticket at Oxon Hill Liquors, the lucky Enfield, North Carolina man scratched off a match to the winning number 39. Beneath his matching number, he revealed a $50,000 prize. The 49-year-old player was in good spirits after coming to Maryland Lottery headquarters in Baltimore to claim his prize.

The $20 game, which went on sale in November 2020, now has three $1 million top prizes remaining along with four second-tier $50,000 prizes and eight $10,000 prizes.

The lucky Prince George’s County retailer that sold the winning instant ticket also has reason to celebrate. Oxon Hill Liquors located at 6369 Livingston Road in Oxon Hill can promote itself as a lucky Lottery retailer.
