Player Finds First Top-Prize on CASH Scratch-off

Columbia man wins $250,000

Congratulations are in order for a 44-year-old Columbia man! He took home the very first top prize on the $10 CASH scratch-off. The lucky player claimed the $250,000 prize this week.

The lucky player bought his game at Star Liquors in Jessup. Although none of his numbers matched the winning numbers in the game, the Howard County resident revealed a “win all” symbol that delivered all 25 of the $10,000 prizes on his instant ticket.

The CASH game went on sale Feb. 22 and is still loaded with prizes. Players can search for six more $250,000 top prizes, 26 $10,000 prizes and more than 625,000 unclaimed prizes ranging from $10 to $1,000.

Also winning is the Lottery retailer that sold the lucky instant ticket. Star Liquors, located at 8610 Washington Boulevard in Jessup, will receive a $1,000 bonus from the Lottery for selling a $250,000 top-prize winning scratch-off.
