Powerball, Bonus Match 5 Produce $50,000 Weekend Winners

Players in Carroll County, Baltimore County bought lucky tickets in June 1 drawings

Saturday night’s Powerball drawing produced a $344.6 million jackpot win on a ticket sold in North Carolina. While jackpot luck didn’t land here in Maryland, we did have two $50,0000-winning tickets sold over the weekend – one in Powerball and the other in Bonus Match 5.

The Powerball ticket for Saturday night’s drawing was sold at the High’s convenience store located at 4500 Hanover Pike in Manchester. The ticket matched four of the first five winning numbers and also matched the Power Ball number, The first five winning numbers were 6, 15, 34, 45, 52; and the Power Ball number was 8.

The Bonus Match 5 winner purchased the lucky ticket at Merritt Boulevard Shell at 2020 Merritt Boulevard in Dundalk. The winning numbers in the drawing that night were 17, 35, 37, 38 and 39; the Bonus Ball was 28. This was the 24th top-prize winning Bonus Match 5 ticket sold in 2019.

Merritt Boulevard Shell also has reason to celebrate! The Lottery will give the Baltimore County store a bonus of $500 for selling a top-prize ticket in the game.

Lottery officials urge each winner to sign the back of their ticket, put it in a safe place and claim the prize within 182 days from the drawing. The winners must claim the prizes in person at Lottery headquarters, which is located at 1800 Washington Blvd. in Baltimore.

Bonus Match 5 drawings take place seven days a week. Players select five numbers ranging from 1 to 39. The Bonus Ball drawn from the remaining 34 numbers provides extra chances to win. Your ticket is a winner if you match five, four or three of the original five winning numbers selected in the drawing. If you match the Bonus Ball number, you only need to match four, three or two of your original numbers to win!
