Powerball Drawing Produces $2 Million Winner in Edgewood

$587.5 Million Powerball Jackpot Hit in Arizona and Missouri

Sorry, Marylanders — there were no jackpot winners here last night, but the drawing did produce more than 225,000 winners in the state, including ten $10,000 winners and one $2 million winner.  The $2 million winning ticket, which included the Power Play option, was sold at Herb’s Deli & Spirits, located at 2226 Hanson Rd. in Edgewood.  Since the winner chose the Power Play option, that retailer will receive $5,000 for selling the ticket.

The lucky $2 million winner matched all five white balls, missing only the Powerball number.  By selecting the Power Play option when buying the ticket, the $1 million second-tier prize automatically increases to $2 million.  The winning numbers from last night’s drawing were 05, 16, 22, 23, 29 and Powerball 06.  The winner has 182 days to claim the prize.

Powerball drawings can be seen on Wednesday and Saturday evenings at 11:22 p.m. on WBAL-TV, Channel 11.  The drawings are rebroadcast on Maryland Public Television.  Additionally, results always can be seen on the Maryland Lottery website at mdlottery.com.  The multi-state game is sold in 44 states and jurisdictions.
