Claims $100,000 top prize on The Money Game scratch-off
Getting a routine cup of coffee was our new winner’s initial reason for visiting Maryland Lottery retailer 7-Eleven in Beltsville. Then, the lucky College Park resident noticed the Lottery’s exciting scratch-off called The Money Game. The coffee wasn’t what had this happy player’s heart racing later that day — it was seeing his $100,000 top-prize win!
The 66-year-old says he spends $40 to $50 a month on scratch-offs. On the day he enjoyed his lucky win, the loyal player visited 7-Eleven #11569 located at 11422 Cherry Hill Road in Beltsville. He scratched The Money Game instant ticket at home and, thinking he might have won, took the scratch-off back to the retailer to confirm his luck. “I had to keep myself calm because I didn’t want to have a heart attack,” he said.
This technically isn’t his first big win. The Prince George’s County resident has won $12,000 before at a casino and is happy to see his luck transition to Lottery games. An accountant for Prince George’s County for 20 years, the winner has no major plans for his prize other than only sharing news of his Lottery luck with members of his family.
The Lucky Beltsville 7-Eleven will also share in the big win. The Prince George’s County retailer earns a $1,000 bonus from the Lottery for selling a $100,000 top-prize winning scratch-off. There are still big prizes remaining on the $10 The Money Game scratch-off, including four top prizes and 18 $10,000 prizes. Be sure to visit your nearest retailer to try your luck.
