A Prince George’s County man sauntered into to Maryland Lottery headquarters on Monday morning to claim a $50,000 winning Bonus Match 5 ticket from the Friday, Nov. 16 drawing.
Our winner is a Bonus Match 5 regular and plays almost daily. Bonus Match 5 is his game of choice because he can play the birthdays of all of his grandchildren at once. However, he may have to question his strategy because the big win came from a randomly generated set of numbers!
When asked about his plans for his prize, the 76-year-old retiree said he would give a portion of the windfall to each of his grandchildren, with the younger ones getting the biggest share. He will then enjoy himself by “playing a few more numbers and sucking down a couple of suds.”
Another winner is the lucky Lottery retailer. For selling a top-prize Bonus Match 5 ticket, Penn Station Liquors at 5634 Silver Hill Road in District Heights will earn a $500 bonus from the Lottery. Congratulations to both of these winners!
