Dora Mobley is having the Best Day Ever! The lucky Prince George’s County resident won $30,000 in the Cash4Life Best Day Ever second-chance contest.
Wins $30,000 Cash4Life Best Day Ever second-chance prize
A Springdale woman experienced the ‘Best Day Ever’ this week after finding out she was the big winner in the Cash4Life Best Day Ever promotion. The lucky winner, Dora Mobley, was randomly selected from more than 600,000 entries to win the grand prize of $30,000 – the equivalent of $1,000 a day for 30 days.
Dora said she was having a hard time deciding which day would be her best day ever — the date she claimed her prize, or the day she received the phone call from a Lottery representative informing her of the win.
The 45-year-old was watching TV earlier this week when her phone rang.
“Normally, I’d ignore the call, but the caller ID said the call was from the Lottery so I answered, but I still didn’t believe the call,” she explained.
The Lottery representative told Dora that she had won the $30,000 grand prize from the promotion. After the call, the excited winner checked the Lottery website to see the list of published winners. Her name was right there at the top alongside the $30,000 prize.
Dora said she would use some of her winnings to pay off bills. She also said she is planning to have many more ‘best days’ in the future by putting most of her prize into a savings account and a rainy day fund.
The Lottery held the second-chance promotion to celebrate the $2 Cash4Life game moving from a twice-weekly drawing to seven days a week. Players who entered seven Cash4Life tickets into their My Lottery Rewards account during the promotion period received 25 entries into the drawing which occurred this past Tuesday. In addition to Dora’s $30,000 prize, 24 other lucky winners received $3,000each.

The Cash4Life game is a $2 multi-state daily draw game offering players a chance to win $1,000 a day for life or $1,000 a week for life and is played in nine states including Maryland.
