Produce Driver’s Takeout Run Delivers Cartful of Cash

Elkridge man wins $10,000 playing 10x Cash scratch-off

When hunger pangs hit, a produce delivery driver from Howard County decided to go with takeout rather than delivery so he could pick up a couple of scratch-offs, too. His late-night eats and scratch-offs came with a side of winning, earning the lucky man a $10,000 top prize on the 10x Cash game.

The 38-year-old Elkridge resident delivers produce to Ocean City resorts. His lucky detour to pick up two of the $10 scratch-offs from Owings Mills Sunoco in Owings Mills certainly paid off! The loyal scratch-off player selected the 10x Cash instant tickets after asking the clerk which game produced the last losing ticket.

He discovered that the second instant ticket was a top-prize winner when he sat down to enjoy his meal. The happy player has lots of possible uses for his prize. While funds for bills and savings are always needed, he said, he might devote a portion of the winnings to a vacation and a trip to a casino.

Want to try your luck at his Baltimore County retailer? Stop by the Owings Mills Sunoco located at 10812 Reisterstown Road. The $10 10x Cash scratch-off launched in July of last year with more than $160,000 in prizes. There are still 35 unclaimed top prizes of $10,000 remaining in the popular game, along with thousands of other prizes ranging from $10 to $1,000.
