Quick-Pick Powerball Ticket Packs a $50,000 Prize

A happy Delaware man found his $50,000 fortune in Maryland after buying a Powerball ticket from an Ocean City restaurant last month.

“I was in total shock!” said the lucky winner, whose $2 quick-pick ticket matched four white balls and the Powerball in the June 27 drawing. “These things rarely happen to me and I’ve never won the Lottery before so this is something special.”

The 55-year-old Frankford resident bought his ticket on June 27 at Seacrets located at 117 West 49th Street in Ocean City. The next day, when the business opened, he returned and scanned the ticket to see if he won back his investment. He sure did! The lucky player plans to use the prize to pay bills and possibly visit his family in Hawaii.

Try your luck playing Powerball, too! The game offers a jackpot of $110 million for the Wednesday, July 18 drawing with a cash option of $67.1 million.
