Baltimore woman scores playing Gold Hard Cash scratch game
They stopped by a Lottery retailer last week so he could play his favorite game, Pick 3, and lingered so she could enjoy her favorite, Racetrax. By the time they left, however, a Baltimore couple had a new Lottery game to love – Gold Hard Cash.
Visiting Lottery headquarters this morning to claim their $10,000 prize, a recreational therapist and her husband shared the details of their exciting weekend. Heading out to the Hollywood casino in Perryville, they saw that the Liquor Outlet at 1967 E. Joppa Road in Parkville sold Lottery products. While her husband played his Pick 3 numbers, she tried her luck with Racetrax. “I used to play scratch tickets all the time, but I’ve been enjoying Racetrax more lately,” she told us. “I got tickets for two races, and after the first race, I picked out a scratch-off as I waited for the second.”
Shocked to immediately see a $100 win, a little more scratching pushed her winnings to $1,000 and pushed her to celebrate. “I started dancing, right there in the store. $1,000 is a great win!” Today’s big winner, 42, stopped to catch her breath and looked at the Gold Hard Cash ticket one more time. “I saw then that the win was $10,000. I thought I was going to have a heart attack.”
Parents to two children in college, the couple plans to take care of bills with their $10,000 prize, as well as making this holiday season something special for their family. Gold Hard Cash has ten more $10,000 prizes available in addition to all six of the game’s $100,000 top prize winners.
